The Mauna Lani Resort has two 18 hole championship courses. The original 18-hole layout at Mauna Lani opened on the Big Island of Hawaii in 1981, and was an instant hit with residents and visiting resort golfers alike. Built on sharp a’a lava and solid pahoe'hoe lava flows.
The new course was also created by Robert Nelson and opened in 1991. Together the North and South courses at Mauna Lani have proven to be one of the world's most unique and enjoyable golfing experiences.

There are two championship golf courses at Waikoloa. Both designed by the leading names in golf today. Whether you're a beginner or a pro, you'll find the challenge exhilarating and the scenery breathtaking. The scenic splendor of the Kohala Coast borders the spectacular Waikoloa Beach Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. The majesty of Hawaii's extinct volcanoes is a dramatic backdrop for the famed Waikoloa King's Course, a Tom Weiskopf/Jay Morrish design. Set among the lava fields and adjacent to the ocean, the Waikoloa courses offer fabulous golf for all skill levels.

Mauna Kea Golf Course

18 Holes, Par 72, 6,875 Yards,
Rated 72.1, Slope Rated 134

The Mauna Kea Beach course has the reputation of being a difficult course and for setting the standard for many courses in Hawai'i. One of its most famous holes is its signature hole, number 3, a 210 yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot that must carry 182 yards of ocean to reach the green. To make a successful shot on this hole (with the unpredictable winds coming off the ocean) is a real thrill. There are several changes in elevation on the course, highlighted by holes designed to play uphill away from the ocean.
The nearby Hapuna Golf Course, designed by Arnold Palmer provides a challenging and scenic layout for your golfing pleasure.

Alii Mountain Course
18 Holes, Par 72, 6,471 Yards,
Rated 71.5, Slope Rated 133Ocean Course
18 Holes, Par 72, 6,579 Yards,
Rated 71.6, Slope Rated 129

The Kona Country Club has two great 18-hole layouts. The Alii Mountain Course has breathtaking views of Keauhou Bay and the coastline to the Kona village. The greens are always in great shape, but tough to read and are a real challenge. The Ocean Course, which runs along the spectacular coastline, features several holes that parallel the ocean. Tip: bring a few extra golf balls.
Makalei Hawaii Country Club
Makalei Golf Course
18 Holes, Par 72, 7,091 Yards,
Rated 73.5,Slope Rated 143

The Makalei Hawaii Country Club showcases its spectacular 18-hole course 3000 feet above the coastline, just north of Kailua-Kona. Its cool elevation, fast “bent grass” greens and rolling fairways make you think you are in northern California. This course provides a challenging test of golf with spectacular views of the mountains and the coastline of the island. Bring your A-Game when you tee up on this great 18-hole course.

Waikoloa Village Club
18 Holes, Par 72, 6,791 Yards,
Rated 71.8,Slope Rated 130

The Waikoloa village Golf Course is just 6 miles up the mountain from the Mauna Lani Resort. This Robert Trent Jones, Jr. designed course, located on the slopes of Mauna Kea overlooking the Pacific Ocean, is a resort-style course with wide fairways, but with Bermuda grass greens that are tough to read with their subtle breaks toward the ocean.
